- Mosquitos have a complete lifecycle from egg, larvae, pupae to adult. Adult female mosquitos first lay their eggs in water. Then, the eggs become larvae and live in the water until they pupate. Once they’re in the pupae stage, the adult form of the mosquito will emerge.
- The Mosquito life cycle can be completed in about 1 week, which is how they can infest a home pretty quickly.

Here at Meers Pest Solutions, our mosquito treatment is called Mosquito Management and Fortress Max. We commonly use this treatment for yards and lawns. For example, if a customer calls us requesting a treatment, we will go through the following:
- The pest technician will visit your home and inspect the infested area that the customer is looking to get treated. This inspection will be thorough to ensure that the problem is treated to the best of our ability.
- Once the inspection is complete, our technician will get with the customer to set up an appropriate date and time for the treatment to begin.
- After that, the pest technician will be at the customer’s home on the agreed date and time and begin the treatment. They will treat the area around the client’s home and yard to create a mosquito barrier.
- After treatment is finished, it should be effective for up to 3 weeks. For more severe infestations during peak mosquito seasons, treatment will be reapplied every 14 days.
